Cardiff Pest Control

We provide a quality competitively priced pest control service for Cardiff and surrounding areas.

We are experienced at the removal and prevention of pests in your home, your garden and your office.

We can be found preventing pest problems where ever you go.
If you are of out for a nice evening  at the pub or a restaurant, staying over at a hotel or popping out to the local takeaway, we are busy keeping places like it safe and clean.

We keep  pests at bay so you can play; you might see us at your local sports club out on the sports pitches or walking the golf course, we will be busy keeping everything at bay.

Out and about in the countryside you will find us helping out at the caravan sites, on the farms and in the agricultural centres all because we  are passionate about pest control.

Every job is different and unique we don’t specialise in box kicking, our speciality is solving every call we receive for any pest big or small.

Locally based and owned we don’t use a call centre to take your enquiry, we speak to you personally.
This way you know we understand your problem from the start and will solve it as soon as is possible.

We ensure you receive the service you need and obtain the results that you want with a level of service that you can recommend to your friends and neighbours.

Our whole philosophy is that we are only as good as our last job. Being a local business we don’t have the National contracts the bigger box kickers do – so we need to ensure our service to you is as good as it can be, no matter what time of day it maybe.

We are a local business that specialises in providing pest control in and around Cardiff using properly trained pest controllers with the experience needed to get the task completed. We are also supported by a network of industry experts and a specialised laboratory enabling us to deal with everything that comes our way.

We will discuss your problem and provide you with any necessary advice and arrange to visit at a convenient time to you.

When we visit we will carry out an onsite survey, and develop an agreeable action plan having discussed the treatment and prevention options available. The action plan will then be carried out at the agreed price.

So if you have a problem with mice, a mutually agreeable appointment time for us to attend your property will be arranged.
We will arrive promptly to carry out an inspection in which we will check all the areas likely to be used by the mice (ie accessing your attic space and other spaces).
We will confirm the nature of the problem and the pest causing it.
We then discuss the treatment options; in this case whether its better to trap, poison or a combination of both.
We will also advise on how best to prevent the problem repeating itself.
Upon your agreement we would start the treatment and arrange when the next most convenient visit would be.

We all have a responsibility to care for the environment, these days many pest control companies indicate that they care for the environment and give examples of how they do this ie relocating bee swarms and colonies to beekeepers where possible. However this is a new concept to them; forced upon them thru the fact that there have been prosecutions as a result of negligence in the past. Our overriding principle is that we work in the best interest of yourself within the law and ensuring that it is not to the detriment of the environment. We don’t leave loose bags of rat bait lying in the open available for consumption by non target animals including wild birds and dogs, we ensure to the best of our ability that rodenticide bait is protected from non target species. When we visit to carry out a bedbug treatment, flea infestation, clothes moth infestation we carry out a full survey to assess the size of the infestation and identify the cause where possible. This enables us to use the correct type and amount of insecticide in your property, but most importantly means that we are not spraying toxic chemicals in your home or place of work for no reason. Atb the same time we would offer proofing, prevention and monitoring advice.

These concepts are now described as Integrated Pest Management, some of these are a legal requirement that pest controllers are obliged to work with. We actually do  care for your environment and the wildlife about we don’t just walk the talk.

Where it is practically possible and beneficial we suggest the use of non toxic methods, such as non toxic monitoring baits and traps to monitor for pests such as rats. The benefit of this is that it reduces the quantity of rodenticide being introduced to the birds and wildlife in the surrounding area, yet alerts us to any problems and usually kills the rat investigating your property.

Where possible we will use natural  insecticides, for example when moving and relocating tree bees from your roof space we will knock down the attacking bees with a natural insecticide so enabling us to relocate the bee nest,

Other environmentally friendly measures include the proofing of a section of a building to prevent the repeated access by unwanted pests such as rodents, squirrels and birds. we also advise on how best to remove food sources that have inadvertently drawn pests to your property.

If you are a landlord in Cardiff or the surrounding area we are able to assist in the removal of flea infestations as a result of a tenant with cats or dogs: carrying out a treatment prior to the arrival of the next tenant at short notice.

We deal with all manors of pest – barr children and even them sometimes.

But dependent upon the season  we maybe busy with

  • catching moles, causing molehills in the garden lawn, sports fields, paddocks and on the farm. We never fail in catching your mole – only once have we not caught the problem mole but never again.
  • catching squirrels in the attic – we only use traps for squirrels;- we don’t use poison. Squirrels  can get into some very hard to reach locations and have large bodies. Leaving dead bodies around can lead to foul odours, and secondary and tertiary infestations from flies, clothes moths and carpet beetles.
  • wasp nest removal
  • bee swarm and bee colony removal
  • rodents; rats and mice
  • all the insects you can think of, including ants (of which there are many, garden ant, argentine ant, ghost an being the more common call outs)
  • bedbugs; you need to get on top of these fast
  • flies, moths and cockroaches
  • rabbit; these are very much on the increase again in this area after the depletion of them as a result of VHD (Viral Haemorrhagic Disease) a couple of years ago
